Community Projects

The Tomorrow's History partnership involves not only libraries, archives and museums, but also the people of the North East in all twelve local authority areas: Darlington, Durham, Gateshead, Hartlepool, Middlesbrough, Newcastle, North Tyneside, Northumberland, Redcar & Cleveland, South Tyneside, Stockton on Tees and Sunderland.

Over one hundred groups worked during 2001 on projects ranging from small-scale local history days to larger projects involving a number of partners and innovating in the areas of community history content, use of Information Technology and skills development. A small team of community project workers assisted the groups and helped them to publish their projects.
