Foreword

I am very pleased to present this publication 'Snapshots of Acklam' as a part of the tomorrow’s History project. This is one of these wonderful projects, undertaken by local people and bringing some fantastic photographs into the public arena. These images are Charles's own historical record of Acklam. These photos are amazing! I've not seen any photos that show the development of Acklam so well. They are also very human and I feel very privileged to take a glimpse through these images that are part of someone's personal photo album. In offering my thanks I hope you also will equally appreciate these snapshots.
