Shotton Colliery History Group was founded in September 2000 with the main
aim of the group being to research the history of Shotton Colliery, the village, its
residents and special events. This is done by the means of the collection of old
photographs and talking and recording the memories of its residents. The group has already had an impact on their local community and have already been involved in the local carnival to display some of their photographs. The group can be contacted at either address below:-
